LifeLabs goes to the 2017 Special Olympics Provincial Summer Games in Kamloops, BC!
As proud sponsors of Special Olympics' Healthy Athletes program, LifeLabs is excited to share our itinerary while attending and volunteering at the Kamloops Summer Games.
Opening Ceremony at the Sandman Centre
Thursday, July 6
Kicking off the Summer Games, LifeLabs very own Jeannette Bredesen, Lab Technical Assistant, will have the honour of walking with the athletes during the opening ceremonies starting at 7:00 pm and ending at 8:30 pm (PST). Other LifeLabs employees will be in the stands cheering on the athletes!

Friday, July 7 – Saturday, July 8
The Summer Games begin with athletes competing in 11 different sports. The Healthy Athletes Screening tent will be up and running to provide health screenings to athletes and LifeLabs employee volunteers will be there to help! The tent will be located at the McArthur Island Sports and Events Centre and will be open from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm PST.
The LifeLabs Cheer Squad will cheer on sponsored athletes, Richard Louis and Bridget Colvin, as they compete with their teammates in soccer matches between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm PST at McArthur Island Park.
