LifeLabs has partnered with GenXys to deliver an innovative service TreatGx^plus   that consists of a simple pharmacogenetic test and smart online tool. TreatGx^plus uses a patient’s genetic and non-genetic information with the highest levels of evidence to inform the clinician of the safest and most effective treatment options and dosing for the patient. The test consists of 66 markers covering 39 genes.

Therapeutic medication selection has traditionally relied on an empirical approach using physician experience in combination with clinical indicators to determine treatment options, resulting in a “trial-and-error” approach to medication management. Pharmacogenetic tests, like TreatGx^plus, can help reduce the uncertainty. TreatGx^plus is a unique pharmacogenetic service that identifies genetic variants in a patient’s DNA that are associated with drug response. Our unique online tool combines pharmacogenetic results with a patient’s personal health information (PHI). The tool then generates safe, effective and personalized medication options ready to be discussed with a healthcare provider.
